Swimming Success

07 March 2024

Congratulations to our Primary and Secondary Swim teams at the Independent District Carnivals. 98 terrific students contributed to the St Andrew’s Swimming culture and wonderful success, with plenty of character, spirit, kindness, support and team work on display.

  • Congratulations to our Secondary team who are Champions for the third year in row.
  • St Andrew’s Primary team finished Runners up.
  • Across both carnivals the teams won nine age group championship penants.
  • Congratulations to eight St Andrew’s students who are District Age Champions.
  • St Andrew’s swimmers set 12 new Independent Schools records.
  • 146 top three placings were achieved across both carnivals

39 St Andrew’s students qualified to compete at the Sunshine Coast Regional Carnival.

These super results are all due to the tireless commitment and hard work of our swimmers, coaching staff (Ash, Brad, Bec and Emil) and our amazing Swimming families. A special mention also to our Swimming Captains, Jake W and Ava G – with support from Caitlan R on Thursday, for their passion and support of St Andrew’s Swimming. Special thanks also this week for the help and support of staff members.

Thank you to our Year 12 students who have swum their last Independent Schools Carnival – Jake W, Ava G, Caitlan R, Cameron P and Will S – all of whom have represented the College brilliantly for many years and we are extremely grateful for their contributions to St Andrew’s Swimming and we wish them all well.
