Parents

We stand for collaboration.

Get Involved

We welcome and encourage parents to be a part of the St Andrew’s community and recognise the valuable contribution parents play in the culture of the College.

There are several ways parents can get involved and contribute to our community depending on your experience, time availabilities and interests.

Parent Ambassadors

Parent Ambassadors play an important role in helping foster relationships between fellow class/year level parents. Parent Ambassadors assist the College by:

  • meeting and supporting new parents of the College
  • developing a sense of community within the year level by organising social catchups
  • helping support College functions and fundraising events where possible
  • encourage parents to attend College events.

Business Opportunities

Our Parent body plays an important role in providing industry and workplace opportunities to our students, and can also gain exposure for their businesses through the variety of sponsorship opportunities available at the College.

Classroom and event volunteers

In Primary School, parents can volunteer their time in the classroom to assist with various activities on occasion, which can be very rewarding and supports their child’s learning environment.

In Secondary, parents may be engaged as guest speakers and invited to share their expertise and experience in a particular business or industry, or act as panel members/judges for subject assessments, such as our Year 9 Entrepreneurship project pitches.

St Andrew’s also holds multiple events throughout the year that parents can volunteer to assist with. Although we have dedicated staff to work events o the day, we always love a few extra sets of hands to help our events be the best that they can.
