St Andrew’s Anglican College has been recognised by The Educator magazine as a 5-Star Best School for 2025 , cementing its position as one of Queensland’s top-performing schools. This honour follows the College’s recent success as a finalist in two other prestigious categories of the 2025 Educator Awards - Best School STEM Program and Regional School of the Year .

The Educator is Australia’s leading national publication showcasing excellence in schools, principals, and teachers. This year’s 5-Star Best School Award saw entries assessed against six key rubrics of educational excellence, with St Andrew’s exceeding across all measures.

Judges commended the College’s:

College Principal, Ms Karen Gorrie, said the recognition reflects St Andrew’s vision for delivering a future-focused education on the Sunshine Coast.

"This award acknowledges our mission to equip students with more than academic skills, but also the values, character and confidence to navigate an ever-changing world,” Ms Gorrie said.

“We’re incredibly proud of the culture we’ve established here at the College — where our students are challenged to grow and supported to thrive.

The 5-Star Best School Award is further testament to St Andrew’s ongoing commitment to innovation, excellence and student wellbeing, ensuring every learner is inspired, supported, and empowered to reach their potential.

In 2024, St Andrew’s was awarded Secondary School of the Year by The Educator.
