St Andrew’s Anglican College is proud to celebrate the exceptional achievements of the Class of 2025, whose ATAR results highlight both outstanding academic performance and the strength of the College’s culture of personalised learning, care and aspiration.

Highlights from the Class of 2025 include:

- 9% of the cohort achieved an ATAR of 99 or above, with 52% attaining 90 or above

- The cohort achieved a median ATAR of 90.4

- Nine students received 100% in an external assessment

- Two students received 100% in one of their subjects

- 18 students earned straight 'A' results, with a total of 29 students achieving five or more 'A' Grades across their subjects

- 13 students received a Premier’s QCE Certificate of Academic Commendation (for achieving an A in at least 6 General subjects).

-65 students graduated with one or more VET qualifications

College Principal Ms Karen Gorrie said the results reflect a community-wide commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing.

“These outstanding results are a testament to the hard work of our students, the expertise of our staff and the unwavering support of our families,” Ms Gorrie said.

“What makes us most proud is not only their academic success, but the character, resilience and balance they demonstrated throughout their final year. They have embodied the values of courage, engagement and commitment, and we are excited to see the impact they will continue to make beyond the College.”

Among the College’s top academic achievers Sophie Turner was one of 18 St Andrew’s students to receive straight As across all of her subjects.

“To me, this reflects not only my hard work but also the incredible support of my family and teachers,” she said.

“It gives me confidence to move forward and use my education to contribute to others, with the hope of making a meaningful difference in the world.”

She encouraged younger students to embrace every opportunity and to build strong connections with their teachers.

For College Dux Alex Hancock, his results mark the culmination of persistence and balance.

Alex, who will study a double degree in engineering and mathematics at UQ, said the achievement is especially meaningful given the challenges along the way.

“This achievement means a lot to me because there were countless times in the process where I thought it wasn’t possible to get it,” Alex said.

“There were moments I thought my subjects wouldn’t scale high enough, or that I’d left an assignment too late… but

consistency and the right study methods, made all the difference.”

Alex credited the supportive St Andrew’s culture as a key factor in his success.

“All my teachers have been really nice and approachable people who are always willing to sit down one on one to help. I was also surrounded by a great group of friends who were always supportive and were actually the ones who pushed me.”

As the Class of 2025 prepares for life beyond the College, Ms Gorrie said she looks forward to seeing their continued growth.

“Our graduates leave St Andrew’s confident, respectful and compassionate,” she said.

“They are ready to contribute, to lead and to make a meaningful impact in whatever path they choose.”
