Excellence in Music Scholarship

Excellence in Music Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in Music. Successful recipients are expected to maintain their commitment to studies and make a significant contribution to the Music program, demonstrating qualities of conduct and citizenship. They are awarded a percentage remission of tuition fees for the duration of their Secondary education, provided that they continue to meet required standards in both the music and academic program and attend weekly lessons in the Instrumental Music Program.

An Excellence in Music Scholarship holder must also be available to attend all weekly rehearsals in all school ensembles that they are selected to perform as well as attend all College functions and performances when requested. They may also be required to perform as a soloist at a College concert or event on at least one occasion during each year.

All standards will be monitored and discussed at an annual review, and the continuing scholarship will be at the discretion of the Principal. Students applying for an Excellence in Music Scholarship may be current St Andrew's students or prospective students entering Years 7 to 11.
