Brielle Davis
Class of 2015
Helping others was never just a career idea for 2015 graduate Brielle— it was part of who she was. Her love for biology paired with a deep compassion for others made one path feel unmistakably clear: nursing.
After graduating, Brielle took her passion to QUT where she became a Registered Nurse. But it wasn’t the clinical labs or the city placements that defined her early career, it was a global crisis.
When COVID-19 hit and her international travel plans went on hold, Brielle stepped up where help was needed most, in rural Australia. Working in isolated communities during the height of the pandemic, she found herself not just administering care, but providing comfort in its rawest, most human form.
“Some of the most rewarding work I’ve ever done,” she says, “was simply holding someone’s hand in their final moments when they had no one else around.”
Now based in London and working at the renowned St Thomas’ Hospital, Brielle credits her rural experience with preparing her for the intensity and pace of one of the UK’s busiest healthcare environments.
Long-term, she harbours dreams of returning to Noosa one day, to continue her family's legacy through ‘Noosa Learn to Surf’ and hopefully one day return to the College as a parent.
Looking back on her time at St Andrew’s, Brielle lights up with memories of music, performance, friendships and people who believed in her.
“Mr Bowen… I wouldn't be where I am without him… for that I am forever grateful.”
Those friendships and foundation remain strong, even across the globe, with fellow Alumni singing ‘Diamond Strong’ with her from the other side of the world.
