St. Andrew's Swimming in 2013

Primary swim team finish a fantastic 2nd
A special congratulations to our Primary swim team who finished runners up out of the 10 Independent Schools at the District Carnival in Caboolture on Tuesday. Once again there plenty of superb individual performances and fantastic St Andrew's team spirit shown by the team and the parent supporters. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm and such happy, smiling faces. Thank you to our parents for your flexibility with the last minute change of venue. Thank you also to our wonderful parents who stepped in and helped out with timekeeping – carnivals cannot run without you!

The Secondary School swim team were superb against 11 other Independent Schools. The team finished runners up again to Matthew Flinders and just narrowly missed out on winning. For the first time a large school did win the percentage trophy and that was St Andrew's for best performing school based on enrolment numbers. Congratulations to 5 St Andrew's students - Zoe Dick, Max Osborn, Remy Fairweather, Charlie Thompson and Layton LePetit who were announced as Independent Schools Age Champions. We also won 4 age groups 13 years boys, 14 years Girls, 15 years Boys,16 years Girls and placed either 2nd or 3rd in every other age group.  A large number of our fantastic students will now attend the Regional Carnival in Caboolture next week

A massive thanks to all Secondary students for our biggest and most successful Secondary Carnival to date. The levels of participation were staggering and that is largely due to our staff and studnens who passionately promoted the event. We have a very special group of Secondary students this year. A special mention to the Fit Foodies who were incredible. It is so good to have them back on board this year. Lorna Macchia is amazing and has an even bigger group of foodies on board to assist our great healthy culture at the College.
Thanks so much to everyone who made the day so much fun More pictures here
