BREAKING NEWS
THE 2013 St Andrew's Fair Date Announced - Saturday 25 May 2013!
See you at the FAIR!

Thank you to all of our parents and friends who are already busy co-ordinating stalls.  Please look out for emails from them, or in the case of Secondary students, from the Heads of House or other staff, and help if you are able.

As you know the Fair is our major College fundraiser for the year.

Thank you to Coolum Beach Dental who have joined the 2013 Fair as a Platinum Sponsor.  Your support is very much appreciated.

We have changed our Ride company this year and have organized some of the old favourite rides as well as some new ones.

Ride Wristbands:  Purchase your wristband online before Friday 24 May and save.  Wristbands ordered online are $35.  Please go online here to order yours today.  Wristbands will then be available for collection at the Ticket Sales stall on the day of the Fair.  Wristbands will also be available for purchase at the Fair for $35 or individual tickets for the rides can be purchased for $5 or $3 depending on the ride.

Raffle Tickets: Each family has been sent home a book of raffle tickets.  We have again received some fantastic prizes including flights, thanks to Flight Centre Noosa Civic and accommodation at Malolo Island Resort Fiji,  a family ride in a helicopter, thanks to Becker Helicopters, an Acer tablet computer, a trampoline from Sportspower and 4WD hire to drive up on the North Shore thanks to 4WD Beach Hire.  We do need to account for all tickets so please return them at your earliest convenience even if you are not able to sell them.

Silent Auction: Always very popular, the Silent Auction is on once again.  Thanks to those who have already contributed goods and services.  If you are able to donate we would love to hear from you.  Please contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

We have started the bidding online on our Silent Auction facebook page, click here to bid.

Second Hand Books, Toys and Clothing:  Please keep the donations coming in.  We have already received some but are in need of more.  Please assist us by ensuring your items are clean and in good condition and drop in to the Main Admin building.

A big feature this year is the chance to win a ride in a Hot Air Balloon. Tickets to win one of 6 group rides will be onsale all day for $10.  The lucky winners will be drawn at 4pm and can make their way, weather permitting to the Primary Oval for their ride with either a total of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.  This should look spectacular!  Please note that rides in the Hot Air Balloon are additional and not included in the wristband.

I look forward to seeing you at the Fair!

Thank you to the amazing local business and families who have supported us so far with donations of goods or services.

Here is an excerpt from an email sent to our Community from our Principal Mr Ivey, following the 2012 Fair.

I am writing to say a huge thank you to our community for what was another sensational College Fair.  The atmosphere on the day was incredible and this was thanks to so many parents, staff and students who attended and got involved in the huge variety of activities.

In particular, can I thank all those parents and students who were involved in some way with running a stall, helping set up, pack up, or who simply pitched in when something needed doing.  It was your willingness to get involved that was so greatly appreciated and reminds me why this is such an amazing place to work and educate our children.

The College is indebted to the fantastic work of our Fair Committee, Amanda and Ian Richens, Jo Stevenson, Geoff Cox, Steve Grayson, Lulu Oosterhof, Tania Lee, Mike Keily, Sue Sagar, who worked tirelessly both before, during and after the event to ensure it was a great success.  I recognise there were so many parents and supporters who did an amazing job both in leading up to and on the day.  Thank you so much for your support.

At this stage, the final details of the monies raised are begin sorted and we hope to have an idea to you toward the end of the week as expenses are finalised.  The general feeling is that this was a very well-supported Fair and given the numbers of people, it should be a great outcome.  However, from my perspective, the great sense of community that was demonstrated on Saturday was by far the biggest bonus for me.

Thanks again and have a great week

Chris
