Musical 2012

From our College Captain - Laura
WOW!! No words could come together to truly express how amazing working with the cast and crew of Chicago (who became family) has been over the last few months! Thank-you so much to all the cast and crew and especially all the teachers and director Miss Mackie (the best director!!) who put their heart and soul into the production over the past eleven months !! The brilliant reviews and standing ovations were just a fraction of the joy we got from stepping on the J stage over the past week! Every second of each rehearsal paid off, so thank-you once again to all the cast and crew for not only putting on the "Best school production ever at The J. Professional shows would be happy to perform as well as that" ( Mark, theatre manager at The J), but for giving the year elevens and twelve's the most amazing memory of their last school musical !! more photos here
College Captain,
Laura

From Tara Mackie - Artistic Director and Producer of CHICAGO!

I cannot express how incredibly proud I am of our Company and our production of Chicago! After months of rehearsals, hours and hours of singing, dancing and choreography, our Company presented an absolutely amazing show which was just incredible on fabulous stage at The J, Noosa.

My sincere thanks to the amazing staff who have worked tirelessly on this show; Chelsey Thomas, Amy Nieuwenhuis, Michael Clapcott, Stuart Koy, Rob Kelly, Gail Mackey and our numerous other staff who supported in various ways. Thank you to you all for supporting the production and encouraging our talented stars to stay strong, keep going and sing their hearts out even at the end of a long day of rehearsals.

I’m so incredibly pleased with the final product although a little sad that it is now all over. (Is this what it feels like to be a parent and see your baby off to university or overseas?!) I am confident that our young stars have bounced back after the conclusion of the show and are eager to celebrate our wonderful achievements. I am so grateful to my amazing company and so incredibly lucky to receive a thank you present of a Nespresso coffee machine to keep my addiction alive! Very generous indeed. Thanks to our amazing parents for supporting the Company members and being there to support them in the final performances. Hopefully this has been an experience that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Thanks again to my amazing staff, particularly Amy and Chelsey for absolutely everything. My sincere thanks to Chris Ivey for having the belief in me to produce this Broadway classic and for being such an incredible cameo actor! No doubt it will be talked about for years to come!

CONGRATULATIONS again to all involved!
Artistic Director and Producer,
Tara Mackie
