2014 POSITIONS AVAILABLE

  

SPECIALIST INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC TEACHER - PIANO

The applicants must have a positive, professional attitude towards the musical development of students who vary in age and ability. 

The successful applicant will be an integral part of the College’s music program, assisting to develop their areas of the department through their specialisation but also with potential input into our College Stage Band. With this said, a background in improvisation / jazz ensemble would be an advantage.  

 

To be eligible for this position, applicants must have:

  • relevant qualifications and/or experience
  • a current Blue Card
  • professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance

 

The successful applicants would need to have the ability to teach before and after school to accommodate ensembles and students wishing to have lessons outside of their normal curriculum time. As with any such position, student numbers are subject to specific enrolment requests and student numbers will change dependent upon the successful applicant’s ability to inspire and motivate students to commence / continue with their music studies.  At this stage, the College is able to offer 4 hours of Specialist Lessons on a Tuesday. The students range in ability from Beginner to Advanced level.  The positions will be contracted annually (renewed each school year).
