Hi and welcome to Burkett House!
2012 was a fantastic year for the Bulls, winning the much sought after Widdicombe Champion House Trophy for the second year in a row. Equally as important was the number of Burkett students that could be seen participating and enjoying their success throughout the year.
Nonetheless, 2013 is here and we are off to a great start. A big congratulations on winning the 2013 swimming carnival, and we look forward to many future successes in carnivals to come. The performances of our established swimmers are equally as astounding as the participation of Burkett students throughout the entire day which pushed us to our victory! A huge thank you to all the staff who made the carnival possible and special thanks to Head of House Cameron Piper who made the roar of the Burkett Bull’s so loud. Although the sought after “Duck” trophy is not within our grasp at the moment, the X-Country will surely be the time we again win back what is rightfully ours. The Secondary Cross Country Carnival will be held on Monday 24th March from 12pm-3pm
We would also like to take the opportunity to welcome back all the Burket House staff and our newest members of the Burkett House pastoral care team Ms Close and Mr Stoddard. Home teachers for 2013 are:
- Mr Luke Rowlands (Burkett 1)
- Ms Luisa Baird (Burkett 2)
- Mr Michael Bourke (Burkett 3)
- Mr Brad Spring (Burkett 4)
- Ms Chelsey Thomas (Burkett 5)
- Mr Noel Stoddard (Burkett 6)
- Ms Anita Close (Burkett 7)
- Ms Caitlin Greenhalgh (Burkett 8)
With such a busy year already upon us be sure to stay tuned to the SAAC website for all the important upcoming dates. We look forward to enjoying another exciting year with the entire SAAC community and watching all our students rise to the challenges that 2013 will throw at them.
Kind regards,
Chloe Brisk and Hugo Morris
