Term 2 is coming to an end!

Thank you for all of your hard work and support in what has been another busy term. Due to the shortness of this week and with Athletics Carnival and Foundation Day next week we will not be having any more homework for the rest of the term. However, please encourage your child to continue learning/practicing their Times Tables and keep reading reading reading!! I will send home their Premier’s Reading Challenge forms for the holidays.

The students have thoroughly enjoyed putting together their Science PowerPoints on ‘Beneath our Feet’. It is great to see so many valuable IT skills put into action with the research facts they have discovered. Each day we are sharing a few of these with the class and learning from each other.

As a part of the IT skills the students have been learning ‘touch typing’ this term. To practice these skills the students have been typing up short stories and we are going to put these into a book format.. They look fantastic!

We will use two of the scrapbooks in Year 4 for homework: Homework#1 and Homework #2.

Each Friday the students will hand in their homework book for marking and the next week’s homework will be set in the alternative book. Hopefully you have all seen this week’s homework; the structure will be very similar each week for Term 1. Please encourage your child to be organised with a book to read both at school and in class.
